About Whisk

Hello! I'm Marion Andrews, an avid baker and cake decorator with a love for all things sweet.

​

I have always loved to cook. From a young age, I spent many hours a day in the Home Economics room at school, baking as much as possible. I then went on to baking beautiful treats for my family of four. I am also a qualified florist, studying at the prestigious Writtle College in the United Kingdom.

​

I started baking and decorating for my family and friends in the United Kingdom before my whole family emigrated to Australia in 2011, where I was encouraged to start my own business.

​

So I set up Whisk Cakes, which I now run from my insured council-registered kitchen in Geelong and Point Cook.

 

I love to use my cookery and baking knowledge as well as my creative ideas to create unique, personalised cakes. 

I studied Patisserie and Commercial Cookery at Tafe and have also studied at Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in Brunswick with Kirsten Tibballs.

 

Living with a family that has allergies and food intolerances, I have learned how to adapt my recipes to suit not only certain palates but also dietary needs, including vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free.
